Papers pertaining to the service of Benjamin J. Johnson, a Racine, Wisconsin resident who served with the 229th Military Police Company during World War I. The collection includes Johnson's registration card, a postcard announcing his safe arrival in Europe, a meal ticket for the USS Mongolia, a pay record book, a sheet listing conduct rules for military police, and various souvenirs collected while in France. The collection also includes photocopies of newspaper clippings pertaining to the war and some various documents for his veteran claim status.
